Lighthouse to Castle Country Youth Corrections

The other day I was doing the gmail chat thing with Cindy and I told her I was chatting from Detention. She replied, "What is my Dad doing in Detention?" It is my new job. As for my new "job"- I'm only a substitute, teaching at the Detention Center- the youth jail. I was a little concerned at first- not because of the kids- but because I have to teach 6 different class subjects. But I was given full rein to make any adaptations I felt to do.

I go through 7 lock-down doors to get to the classroom, (control has to remotely open each one for me) and then I'm locked up with the staff and the inmates.I even have 3 lock-down doors to get to the rest room. It has been a good thing for me, and the staffers are happy with my performance- they say they would like to keep me. They are surprised by how well I get along with the kids, and how they perform so well for me and are really doing some learning. It looks like the real teacher will be out for another month, at least. The staff would like me to stay- but unless the teacher takes disability- that won't happen, and I'm not wishing anything bad for her. I taught with her at the Lighthouse.

While I've been doing the Detention thing, Mom has been doing the "Grandma in Lehi" thing with Tanner. She has spent most of the past month helping out. So, I've had to "batch" it. That's the time I get to eat what I want and Mom has little if anything to say about it. And, believe it or not- I have lost a few pounds.

TTFN! lol

Family on the Front!

Wow, I just had a great week, with family and the new baby on the Watch Front. Mike said, I can't wait to get moved over here! Me too! It's so much fun with family!! But then we have to hunt for a house. Maybe we'll wait till Cindy and Kyle get done and they will be in the know-how or know-it-all to help us. hee hee. Thanks to Jeff and Becky, they are keeping everyone updated on Tanner. He is so cute! But it might be a shock on Cody, when he comes home. So Grandma will be up there again for when he yells at 7:00 a.m. in the morning-Moma! Daddy! Grandma? I love it!! lol Just makes you know what is important in life and the blessing you receive from God! We love you alll!!!

BABIES EVERYWHERE!

So today Remy and Tate were here and as we were getting ready for church Tate watched a deer go down the road and into the wash next to the house. Well, l usually they end up in the back yard behind the fence. But instead of just the mother dear, we watched two fawns, eat frolic and just have fun in the back yard. Hopefully, I can add a picture later. So we have babies everwhere!

Bear Lake

We found an old photo of the lot at Bear Lake from back in the 1980's that we thought you might be interested in seeing. Following are two photos: first is from the 80's and next is the one from 2009. The last is a pic from July 4, 2009 of Charlie stealing Lawn Bowling balls from everyone.
Hi, long time no writing. I keep after Mike but after so long- well then I try it myself, so here goes. We had a small vacation at Bear Lake around the fourth. We found out lots about the property and what, where, not, etc. we can or can not build, and it was fun to sleep with Charlie and have him and his parents around, along with the short visits from Cindy and Kyle and their game, and thanks for the storm warning guys. We went to go to Farmington on the 12th, and were just heading out when Grandma Bradshaw called concerned about Grandpa. We ended up taking him to the hospital to make sure it wasn't a heart attack. Dr.Perkins (Andrew's dad) said he was ok but thought it was just his meds that were mixed up. And yes, he remembered Cindy with a smile and laugh. So, instead of heading out at 2:00 we left at 5:00 and made it just after dark. We finally took the Crowthers out to eat for the twins birthday, after Angie's many running arounds. Then on Tuesday evening we had a barbque with cake and ice cream. It was fun to be with them and see their personalities and how they are all growing up. We left on Wednesday and decided to try to make it to the Monticello temple for a session. We thought we weren't going to make it, but did, and even got to be the witness couple, which we haven't done for a long time. It was a fun trip and a good session. Our next adventure is waiting for Becky to deliver, I guess. Oh what about a camping trip guys? A few of you have asked about it.
